The Sport Clubs program at Ball State University is a major component of the Office of Recreation Services. Sport Clubs are recognized student organizations that exist to promote and develop interest in a particular sport or activity. These interests may be competitive, recreational, or instructional in nature, and participation in sport clubs is strictly voluntary. Each club is organized and run by its student members under the supervision of the Office of Recreation Services. The emphasis of Sport Clubs is student leadership and development because of this student’s involvement in clubs enhances their university experience and contributes to their overall education.

2014 Fall Student Activity Fair
TO: Student Organization Presidents
Is your organization interested in being a part of the Fall 2014 Activity Fair? If so, you can register for table space by going to Fall Activity Fair.
For those of you new to the Activity Fair experience, all freshmen are encouraged to attend the Activity Fair as a part of Welcome Week so they can learn more about the student organizations on campus. The Activity Fair will take place in the Student Recreation & Wellness Center on Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 6:00-8:00pm.
Once you click the Activity Fair link above, please be sure to read the detailed information provided before signing up for the fair. The student who registers the organization for the table space will receive an email confirmation within one week from Stacey Myers in Student Life, so you know that the registration for your student organization was received. In addition, a confirmation email will be sent in early August to remind you that your organization is signed up for the Activity Fair. If you do not receive an email within a week of registering on-line, then your registration was never received.
This is a great opportunity for student organizations to introduce themselves to incoming students!
Students make up the majority of those participating on Ball State Sport Club teams. However, full-time faculty and staff are also eligibile to participate on a club team. All active members of a sport club team must sign an Assumption of Risk Form prior to participation.
How to Join
To join a sport club, please contact the president of the desired sport. All members or interested participants must complete an Assumption of Risk Form and bring a copy of their BSU Photo ID. Please email both to email@example.com and let us know which club you are particpating with.
As a captain you are responsible for working with the Office of Recreation Services to complete and submit all pertinent registration forms. Call or stop by our main office in SRWC Room 201A or call 765.285.1753. If you have questions, you may also reach us by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
As an office we understand that there is a consistent need to have access to funding to afford dues, travel and equipment. While our office allocates some money to clubs on a semesterly basis, it is important that clubs understand that fundraising is an important piece of the puzzle.
Our office provides many opportunities to assist with activities to raise money for their clubs. Football clean-ups, basketball clean-ups and events set-ups and tear-downs can earn your club anywhere from $100 to $250.
We offer a variety of other opportunities as well. Those could include sales for LIDS/Nike Fundraising.
There are also a number of web-based fundraising opportunities to get involved with such as:
