Sean came to Ball State from Bradenton, Fla., which he has called home for most of his life. He is a senior telecommunications major, and his focus of study is broadcast journalism.
Telling stories and communicating is not only Sean's passion in schoolwork, but in life as well. He has already done professional work in the field, with TV stations such as WRTV6 in Indianapolis and WWSB-TV in Sarasota, Florida. This past summer, Sean interned with Paula Zahn Now, CNN's former prime time news hour based in New York.
Sean is a former news associate for Ball State's immersive news laboratory NewsLink Indiana. In that role he assisted in daily newsroom management and provided news coverage guidance for students taking part in the Emmy award-winning program.
Sean values his experiences at Ball State where he works with some of the industry's current and former legends, like Steve Bell, who has anchored Good Morning America and ABC World News This Morning. Sean likes to borrow a quote from Bell to describe what he does – "News is not only my vocation, but my avocation."
Send him your ideas of future topics to cover in his interviews with the bloggers.
