Objectives:

  1. Continue the development and implementation of a web-based Competency Data Engine (CDE) and its supporting collaboration and portfolio-building tools to facilitate performance assessment in relation to Title II goals (the Unit Assessment System), digital portfolios, and NCATE, NETS, INTASC standards, competencies, and principles leading to licensure.

  2. Introduce rapid prototyping of Web-based informatics and diagnostics for managing educational data and tracking technology competence.

  3. Design and implement online environments to facilitate the Reciprocal Apprenticeships model in which teaching and learning projects and case studies of teaching with technology can be constructed and shared in professional development and teacher education contexts.

  4. Create new physical environments and services to support the on-going and in-depth exploration and application of digital media for portfolio development and exploration of educational computing in course-centered practice with teacher education majors.
