President's Report
Building Better Communities
From charter schools in Gary to artist studios in Nashville and a start-up software company in Muncie, Ball State University faculty, staff, and students are creating economic opportunities and advancing the quality of life in Indiana through our Building Better Communities initiative.

By matching Ball State's expertise and resources to the unique needs of Hoosier communities, we're making an impact in areas critical to the well-being of Indiana residents, including education, economic development, and entrepreneurship.

This year, we produced the first annual Report to the State on our Building Better Communities activities—a report with such powerful stories of the positive effect BBC has had in every corner of Indiana that I have adopted it as my President's Report for this year.

I encourage you to take some time to review our efforts. The work of Building Better Communities is an integral part of the immersive learning and innovative outreach that are hallmarks of Ball State University.
