Coming less than a year since the tragedy at Virginia Tech that claimed 32 innocent lives, this latest episode is an especially cruel blow to our hearts and our hopes that such seemingly mindless violence would never again be repeated.

We mourn the loss of still more innocent life and extend our deepest sympathies to the families, friends and colleagues of the victims, including those who were wounded physically and emotionally as a result of this senseless attack.
