Preservation Scholarships
The following scholarships are available to qualified historic preservation graduate students at Ball State University.

Program Scholarships

Standerford Graduate Scholarships: Two $150 scholarships are available for the academic year. The Standerford Graduate Scholarships are made possible through the H. Wayne Standerford and Jewel Standerford Endowment.

David R. Hermansen Memorial Scholarship: The David R. Hermansen Memorial Scholarship commemorates the career of the founder of the master of science in historic preservation degree in Ball State's College of Architecture and Planning. Scholarship recipients are selected by a committee.

Outside Scholarships

Southhold Historic Preservation Scholarship: Applicants must be permanent residents of the state of Indiana. Preference is given to St. Joseph County residents. The scholarship fund was established in January 1980 by Southhold Restorations Inc. in memory of Joan Burmeister Romine. Applications for this scholarship should be postmarked by March 1.

Mildred Colodny Scholarship for the Study of Historic Preservation: This scholarship is given by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The award includes up to $15,000 in tuition for graduate-level study in historic preservation, a paid summer internship, and assistance to attend the National Preservation Conference. Details are available online.

The National Society, Women Descendants of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company: A $500 scholarship is available to female students in architectural historic preservation. Qualified students must be U.S. citizens. The deadline for applications is August 15.
