Current and Ongoing Projects
NewsLink Indiana – Students report, shoot, produce, and direct newscasts that are aired on the local PBS station and NPR affiliate, as well as published on the Web.

Habitat in 3-D: Learning the Ecosystem Game – Students are exploring East Central Indiana's native ecosystems and will develop storytelling strategies and environmental educational objectives for schoolchildren.

Operation Wellness – Coordinated by the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences and funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Caylor-Nickel Foundation, and other community partners, this initiative is helping children and adults in Wells County, Indiana, develop healthier eating and lifestyle habits.

One Small Project: Seeking Relevance in the Lives of Leftover People – Students will study "leftover" people, spaces, and materials in local and global settings. They will study the homeless in Indianapolis and the "Borderlands" between San Diego and Mexicali.

Voice and Vision: Poverty from the Inside Out – Students will examine issues of local and global poverty, and they will provide a platform for children and families living in poverty to articulate a vision to be shared with the community.

Brown County Celebration – Students are working with the Brown County business and arts community to plan a celebration of the 100th anniversary of T.C. Steele's establishment of an artist colony in Nashville, Indiana, including creating a documentary film.

Digital Entertainment Option Pilot (DEOP) – Students and faculty are taking part in a year-long immersive study in digital media for the screen and stage sponsored by the Institute for Digital Entertainment and Education (IDEE).

Urban Semester Program – Students in the teacher education program observe classrooms and take courses at elementary, middle, and high schools in the Indianapolis Public School System.
