Video Feature
Professor Eva Zygmunt-Fillwalk and her students have worked with Indiana Public Radio to develop a series of radio programs featuring the voices and visions of poverty.  The radio programs provide a platform for children and families living in poverty to articulate a vision that can be subsequently shared with the community.

Each year the Viriginia B. Ball Center for Creative Inquiry selects four Ball State faculty members to teach interdisciplinary seminars to students. Working together with community sponsors and leaders, each seminar group of faculty and students works to address specific needs in the community.

The Voice and Vision seminar examines the issue of poverty and seeks to build on community momentum to address the issue of poverty in Delaware County. Professor Fillwalk and her students worked with community partner TEAMwork for Quality Living in furthering its "Circles of Support" initiative, a relationship-based model originating from the Move the Mountain Leadership Center.  Success of the "Circles" model will be shared, with the ultimate goal of furthering public education and community commitment to the reduction/elimination of poverty and to foster participation in this initiative.
