Martha A. Hunt is a professor in Ball State's nationally ranked Department of Landscape Architecture.

Her special interests include healthy living landscapes and therapeutic gardens, and incorporating geographic information system (GIS) technology into her classes.

Career highlights:

  • Developer of Therapeutic Gardens/Landscape for Healthy Living focus area and integration of GIS instruction in the Department of Landscape Architecture
  • Recently completed a study on the therapeutic significance of IUPUI's Ball Nurses' Garden and Convalescent Park
  • Directed Gardens for Health and Healing Business Fellows Project, 2004-2005
