In addition to his nearly 30 years of law enforcement experience Asst. Chief Fey has been a high school English Teacher and State Revenue Agent. Asst. Chief Fey was deputized as a Federal Marshal while associated with a Drug Task Force in Nebraska. Asst. Chief Fey has been an adjunction instructor with the BSU Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice for many years, teaching introduction to policing and narcotics enforcement. Additionally, he is a certified law enforcement accreditation assessor with CALEA (Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc.) and the State of Indiana Accreditation Commission. Away from the office, Asst. Chief Fey is an active member of the Single Action Shooters Society and the Muncie Masonic Lodge #433, and is the assistant director of an a cappella men's chorus as well as being the lead vocalist with a 2004 internationally ranked barbershop harmony quartet.
