Each year Ball State University Police department officers participate in a firearm proficiency exam. Although there are other exams during the year, the officer that scores the highest will receive an award for their proficiency. This year award goes to Chief Gene Burton. Officer Brandon Qualls was the runner up. Congratulations to Chief Gene Burton and Officer Brandon Qualls for a job well done.
