The primary goal of the plastics emphasis at Ball State University is to train students adequately to make meaningful contributions to the dynamic plastics industry. We achieve this objective by challenging our students to understand the fundamentals of plastics materials and processing techniques, and to use the acquired knowledge to create innovative solutions to challenging problems in the plastics industry.  

Based on historical records, we anticipate our graduates to lead successful and rewarding careers in plastics and related industries.
