The Clinical Health Coach will be employed at an onsite health clinic for the City of Indianapolis. Clinical Health Coach will provide health education support and consultation for the employees of City of Indianapolis and Marion County under the supervision of the ADVANTAGE. Three positions are currently vacant.

Responsibilities
Biometric screening and assisting with Health Risk Assessments is imperative for this position. The work is broad in scope, dealing with wellness educational development and programming. Considerable judgment is required for adapting principles of public health and health education while working with these members.

Reasoning Ability:
Must demonstrate ability to learn quickly and understand the processes involved in health and wellness program development. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are needed to plan, implement and evaluate programs. Position requires high skill levels for organization and prioritizing, strategic decision making and attention to detail. Ability to identify and define potential and/or current issues or concerns, collect and analyze data, establishes facts, draw valid conclusions and offer solutions.

Qualifications:
Job requirements include, but are not limited to:

• bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education/Promotion, Health Science or other related fields.
• Registered Nurse or LPN is also a qualification, but not required.
• CHES certification is strongly encouraged but not required.
• Three to four years of health education with a community or managed care organization is recommended.
• Health screening and Health Risk Assessment (HRA) experience is highly recommended.

Position is related to mid-level or entry level health education that will involve “in-house” training if needed.
