Minimum Qualifications
- Earned doctoral degree in health education, health promotion, or a closely related field.
- Ability to teach in at least three of the following areas: Teacher Preparation in Health Science/Education, School Health Education, Curriculum Development, Adolescent Health.
- Must have record of scholarly publications and grant awards or the potential for scholarly publications and grant awards commensurate with years of post-doctoral experience.
- Experienced applicants must have documented prior teaching experience at the undergraduate and in teacher preparation.
- Recent graduates must have ability and interest to teach at these levels.
- Ability to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse community.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
CHES certification. K-12 Teaching Credential helpful. Practical experience in school health education setting or as K-12 teacher and/or experience in higher education teacher preparation.
