Serve as the Public Health Preparedness Aide to the Indiana State Health Commissioner. Represent the Commissioner and ISDH both internally and in the community. Facilitate public health preparedness and emergency response related collaboration both within ISDH and among external stakeholders. Attend and assist in coordination of preparedness & emergency response related conferences and meetings. Prepare related summaries and action plans. Assist with program development and implementation. Conduct reviews of literature, publications, and federal/state/local guidance documents. Assist with the Public Health Residency Program.
Bachelor's degree plus experience in public health or preparedness is desired. Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to work cooperatively with various parties within the agency and community partners.
