Teacher Education, School of Physical Education, Sport, and Exercise Science

The Teacher Education graduate program is designed to improve teaching of physical education in schools (K-12) and to prepare graduate students for further graduate study in the areas of sport pedagogy and/or curriculum and instruction in physical education. The program is sensitive to the needs of inservice teachers. Many of the courses are offered during the summer in a one-week workshop format which maintains the rigor expected of graduate level courses while allowing teachers to complete the program in a timely manner.
