Certification Course Descriptions
PEP 216     Lifeguard Training

This course provides training certification in the American Red Cross course.  Training includes Water rescue skills, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, Automated External Defibrillation, Oxygen Administration and Bloodborne Pathogens.  You must pass prerequisites and have the book read prior to the first class.  Certification does not guarantee future performance. Lab Fee applies.

PEP 220  Open Water SCUBA

This is a YMCA course and provides a level of understanding to participate in skin and SCUBA diving activities.  Must pass a prerequisite skill test and pay special  lab fee.  Certification does not guarantee future performance.

PEP 250   First Aid /CPR/AED

This is a AAOS course.  It provides basic level instruction for FA/CPR and AED certification.  Certification does not guarantee future performance. 

PEP 301 FA/CPR/AED Instructor.  This is the ARC Instructor certification program.  Lab fee applies.

PEP 315   WSI : Water Safety Instructor

This is an American Red Cross course providing instruction for teaching swimming and water safety programs.  A prerequisite skill test is required.  Read your texts prior to first class. Lab Fee applies.

PEP 404  LGI  Lifeguard Instructor

This is an American Red Cross course and trains instructors how to teach Rescue skills, for water and land including CPR, First Aid, Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Oxygen Administration, Lifeguard Management and Preventing Disease Transmission.  Prerequisites skills and written test required.  Lab Fee applies.

PEP 454 YMCA  Pool Ops. (P.O.O.L.)

This is the YMCA Pool Operator On Location (P.O.O.L.) course.  No prerequisite but please read the text prior to the first class, this is an intense course covering all operational areas including: Filtration, Sanitation, Formulas, and General knowledge required to operate a pool safety and effectively.  Lab Fee applies.
