Adapted Physical Education
Adapted Physical Education and Adapted Activity Program Highlights

The School of Physical Education offers a license in Adapted Physical Education, which is supported by the Indiana State Department of Education.

APE License:  Students selecting the Adapted Physical Education license must complete 11 hours beyond the General Physical Education Major.

Adapted Physical Activity (APA) Minor:  This minor is designed for students studying exercise science, athletic training, pre-physical therapy and/or other areas outside of education.  Special practicums have been established to provide learning experiences in weight training, water exercise, and general fitness.

Graduate Studies:  Graduate students will receive a Masters of Science degree in Physical Education with emphasis in Adapted Physical Education/Activity.  Students are required to complete 33 hours of study.  Students have the option of completing a thesis, research paper or creative project as their research requirement.
