HOW CAN I REQUEST AND GET A RS DAPR EXCEPTION?
"DAPR exceptions" (i.e. getting permission to exchange an alternate course for a required course) are exceptions, and thus a limited number will be allowed for a major or minor in Religious Studies.  Careful planning of your schedule with the assistance of your advisor should minimize the need for DAPR exceptions for required courses. Remember that you must secure your advisor's approval for a DAPR exception before you register for the alternate course. The actual DAPR Exception Form will be signed after you have completed the agreed on course.

In cases in which a Religious Studies major chooses one or more approved extra-departmental courses to fulfill his or her 11 hours of elective credit, the advisor will need to sign a DAPR form to ensure that the courses are credited as electives on the DAPR. This is a legitimate and expected use of the DAPR form. You may request the signature from your advisor any time after you complete the course up until the semester before your graduation. In all cases where DAPR adjustments are granted, your advisor will fill out the required form for you to take to the North Quad Advising Center, NQ 320.
