Public Employees' Retirement Fund (PERF)
- Employees are vested and eligible for a pension at age 65 after 10 years of PERF or a combination of PERF and TRF service.
- Employees may also be vested and eligible for a pension at age 50 or older after 15 years of PERF or a combination of PERF and TRF service.
- Rule of 85: allows a member to receive an unreduced pension prior to age 65. The rules for receiving this are as follows:
- When a PERF member's age is 55 – 60 and they have years of qualified service which added to their age totals 85 or more.
- When a PERF member's age is 60 – 65 they qualify for the Rule of 85 with 15 or more years of service.
