Flexible Spending Plans
- Employee elects an annual amount to contribute to the Medical or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts. This amount is then deducted as pre-tax over a predetermined number of pays during the plan year.
- Deductions
- Bi-Weekly Staff/Service Employees have their monthly premium deducted from the first check of the month for 12 pays per plan year.
- Bi-Weekly Dining Service 9 month Employees have 1 regular monthly premium deducted from the first check of the month for each of their regular (not including summer) pay periods for 9 pays.
- Exempt/Faculty/Professional Fiscal Year Employees have one monthly premium deducted from each monthly check.
- Faculty/Professional Academic Year Employees have one monthly premium deducted from the September 15th check and each regular monthly check including May 15th for 10 pays.
