Non-Residents of the USA should report to the Payroll office to complete tax withholding forms.
- An NRA Information Form should be completed by the employee and evaluated by PEB to determine non-resident eligibility for tax purposes. Your passport, visa information and I-20 are required.
- A permanent social security number is required as an employee of Ball State University. If your home country has a treaty agreement with the U.S., you must have a social security number before treaty exemptions can be honored.

Non-Resident employees with non-taxable income will receive a Form 1042S. Taxable income will be reported on Form W2. If you have received both taxable and non-taxable income, you will receive both forms.
