  1. VP of Internal Affairs: Liz Baker
  1. VP of Administration: Maureen McShane
    • Thank you for getting dues turned in last week!
  1. VP of Recruitment: Jamie Jacob
  • The next Recruitment Implementation Team meeting will be November 19th at 6:30 pm in the Korina Room. If you are interested in joining this team please contact Ken Burger or myself.
  1. VP of Membership Development: Jessa Patterson
    • Thanks to the chapters who showed up to the Membership Development Roundtable; it was very successful.
  1. VP of Risk Reduction and Education: Stacy Dixon
    • Hazing Skits – members of the council act out instances of hazing, and audience members rate whether they think the skit represents something that is not a big deal or something that is definitely hazing.  Skits include making a new member wear something silly, or making a new member drink until she is sick. 
    • Sometimes things that seem okay to one person can make people uncomfortable, so please keep this in mind with your new members.
  1. VP of Community Relations: Faye Ryan
  • GREEK NIGHT: Tuesday, November 13 at 7PM at Scheumann Stadium. Please come in LETTERS!! We will be getting air time, ESPN is giving our section free rubber noodles, Greek men and women will be featured in most if not all field promotions, ESPN2 will know it's Greek Night and it will be advertised to the general public as Greek Night, AND we will have our own section. Everyone should come!
  • PR Idea: Go to sporting events! Wear letters, make posters, bring banners.

  1. Philanthropy and Community Service Director: Ina-Marie Henning
    • Habitat for Humanity

    • Our section will be section "T" for Greek Night at Scheumann Stadium.

Old Business:

  • NPC consultant visit
    • The Alpha Omicron Pi proxy explained that the delegate could not be present due to a death in the family.
    • Alpha Gamma Delta motioned to allow the Alpha Omicron Pi proxy to vote.
    • Everyone seconded.
    • The motion passed.
    • Alpha Chi Omega motioned to open discussion about inviting an NPC consulting team to Ball State.
    • Multiple delegates seconded.
    • Alpha Chi Omega asked where the money to pay for the consulting team's visit will come from. 
    • VP of Recruitment, Jamie Jacob, answered that the money is coming from the main budget and no other major events will be affected by funding the visit.
    • Kappa Alpha Theta said that bringing an NPC consultant team is a great way to improve our Greek community.
    • A vote was taken; the response was unanimous to bring an NPC consultant team to Ball State.

  • Total
    • Alpha Chi Omega motioned to open discussion about changing total to 73.
    • Seconded.
    • Kappa Alpha Theta motioned to discuss amending the number to 65.  There was no second.
    • Alpha Omicron Pi motioned to discuss amending the number to 70. 
    • Seconded by Alpha Chi Omega.
    • Alpha Chi Omega said that after speaking with her NPC delegate, she thought that while the number can be increased later, she thought lowering it to 70 would be best for us right now.
    • Kappa Alpha Theta said that her NPC delegate feels total should be lower.
    • Alpha Chi Omega said that she spoke her with NPC delegate and that reducing total from 73 to 70 would make the number of chapters doing COB decrease from 7 to 5, which would give those groups the chance to recruit more women.
    • Pi Beta Phi moved to close the floor for discussion and vote.
    • Phi Mu seconded.
    • The motion to amend the motion from 73 to 70 passed by a 9-2 vote.  Chi Omega and Kappa Alpha Theta voted against the motion. 
    • Alpha Chi Omega motioned to vote to change total from 73 to 70. 
    • Seconded by Alpha Omicron Pi.
    • The motion passed 9-2, fulfilling the requirement for 2/3 majority.  Chi Omega and Kappa Alpha Theta voted against.
