Officer Reports:

  1. VP of Internal Affairs: Liz Baker
    • I've been getting questions about the judiciary policy.  To help, there is a Power Point on the Panhellenic website that explains it.
  1. VP of Administration: Maureen McShane
    • Dues were due to me or in the Office of Student Life by Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 5 pm.  If they are not turned in to the office by 5 pm on Friday (grace period), then starting Monday a $5 late fee will be added for each week they are not turned in.  Please email mlmcshane@bsu.edu with any questions or concerns.
    • The Spirit Points winner for last spring is Alpha Phi.  Congratulations!  I'll be contacting your president and finance officer.
  1. VP of Recruitment: Jamie Jacob
    • The Recruitment Implementation Team had another meeting this past Monday.  They have been examining different locations for where recruitment can be held.  They have also been looking into Partially Structured Recruitment (PSR).  If anyone is interested in being on the Recruitment Implementation Team, please contact me or Ken Burger.
  1. VP of Membership Development: Jessa Patterson
  • Roundtable for New Member Educators immediately following today's Panhellenic meeting!
  1. VP of Risk Reduction and Education: Stacy Dixon
    • The Risk Management Implementation Team met this week.  We'd love to have more people involved.  Our next meeting is on November 14 at 6:30 pm.
  1. VP of Community Relations: Faye Ryan
  • PR: Submit all reports and financial obligations on time to headquarters.
  • Coming up will be Greek Night at Scheumann Stadium.
  1. Pi Chi Director: Abby Miller
  1. Philanthropy and Community Service Director: Ina-Marie Henning
  • Habitat for Humanity
    • This Saturday November 3rd.
    • Be at the Student Center shuttle bus stop at 8:10 am prompt!
  • Casino Night
    • November 16 from 8:00 pm – 12:00 am.
    • Botswin is putting it on.  Sisters who live there are encouraged to participate.
    • They need volunteers the week before the event and the day of.
    • It counts as outreach.
  • Candy Lane
    • Nov. 14 5:00-10:00 pm
    • They need people to decorate!  It will be a lot of fun!!!
    • They need as many people as possible to volunteer!!!
    • Delegates do a sign-up sheet!!!
  • Order of Omega
    • They are collecting toys for Candy Lane
    • Please donate some toys.
  • Alternative Spring Break
    • Location: Pennsylvania
    • Capital Area Therapeutic Riding Association
  • Cookie Exchange
    • Nov. 29 after Panhellenic meeting
    • Please submit recipes to me for cookies to be in the cookie exchange!!!

  • Super Studiers/ Scholar of the Week – Alpha Phi / Jessica Jankowski of Kappa Alpha Theta and Patty Haltom of Alpha Phi
  • November 6th is the last day to request spring classes!
  1. Graduate Assistant: Laura Dragoo
    • Community service hours update: Phi Mu is in the lead!
    • Philanthropy dollars update: Alpha Gamma Delta is in the lead!
    • Greek Alternative Spring Break – Capital Area Therapeutic Riding Association in Pennsylvania.  There will be an interest meeting November 29 inbetween the Panhellenic meeting and the cookie exchange.

  • Order of Omega meeting on Nov. 14 at 9:30 pm in SC 301
  • Panhellenic Recruitment Implementation Team meeting on Nov. 19 at 6:30 pm in the Korina Room.
  • Marketing Implementation Team meeting on Nov. 28 at 9:00 pm in the Korina Room.
  • Rho Lambda meeting Nov. 28, location TBA.
  1. Advisor: Cara Luyster
    • Focus groups for sorority housing.  Please turn in this paperwork by Tuesday, November 6.

  • NPC Consulting Team Visit
    • Motion by Kappa Alpha Theta delegate to invite an NPC Consulting Team to Ball State.
    • Seconded.
  • Discussion of Total
    • Motioned by Alpha Chi Omega delegate to change total to 73.
    • Seconded by Kappa Delta.
    • Alpha Omicron Pi asked what to do if an NPC delegate wants to have a different number.  Cara Luyster answered that an amendment to the number 73 can be made.
    • Alpha Chi Omega asked what happens if all delegates come back with different numbers.  Deanna Pogorelc answered that we keep voting until we reach a majority decision.

  • Tell Me Something I Don't Know – movie made by FIJI about the risks and consequences of getting drunk and reaching toxic levels of alcohol. 
  • Discussion question – why do we act like this?  Most people say because they think it's tradition, but do you think that's the reason?
