Facilities

OTLA facilities are available for use upon request.  Please contact us if you would like to look at any of these rooms and discuss how they may meet your needs.

TC 411 - Videoconferencing / Electronic Classroom
This multi-function 32-seat electronic classroom features a PolyCom videoconferencing unit, wall-sized projection system, multiple video monitors, and audience-tracking cameras to support high-end videoconferencing.  The instructor's station includes a touch-screen Electronic Teaching Console to facilitate use of a PC, Mac, document camera, DVD/VCR, VIS, and external input.  Presentations may be recorded using Mediasite technology.  Technical support for videoconferences is provided by Teleplex personnel. 
 
TC 412 - Electronic Classroom
This 24-seat electronic classroom features an instructor's station that uses a touch-screen Electronic Teaching Console to facilitate the use of a PC, Mac, document camera, DVD/VCR, VIS, and external input.  Presentations may be recorded using Mediasite technology.  Student seating for 24 is in forward-facing rows--please note that this room no longer contains student computers.
 
TC 403 - Conference Room
This 8-seat conference room includes a PC and projector, whiteboard, and full Polycom videoconferencing capabilities.

TC 405 - Conference/Seminar Room
This flexible meeting room includes a large table that seats 16, a PC with wireless keyboard/mouse, input for laptops, VIS access, and a projector.  The table may be broken down into 5 smaller tables for more flexible use.  Audio conferencing is available, and video conferencing equipment may be brought in if required.

Note: Additional PC and Mac laptops are available for use in these rooms upon request.

To request use of these rooms, please print the   OTLA Room Reservation Form and return a completed copy to TC 402 for consideration for facility reservation. Please read the Facility Policies page before completing the form.


Books
OTLA has a library of books about teaching and learning that are available to faculty.  Our catalogue is not currently listed online, but you may enquire about books on particular topics.
