What We Do
The Leadership committee works to recognize and promote the development of leadership throughout the chapter, Housing and Residence Life, and campus. To do this, the committee organizes and implements different programs and initiatives including a bi-annual Leadership Conference, Building Blocks, and a mentor program. Leadership conferences are held every Spring and Fall, and are designed to bring student leaders involved in Housing and Residence Life together to collaborate, present, and further develop skills. Building Blocks works from a similar angle, developing and presenting leadership programming and workshops to groups on campus interested in learning more about leadership such as executive boards, hall councils, staffs, and campus organizations. The Mentor program also works to help develop leadership by placing upperclassmen leaders involved in HRL with incoming freshman and sophomores looking to get involved.
