Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management

NREM's opportunities are vast, including educational and professional outreach activities.

We have participated in events such as College Awareness Day as well as activities in the local area like the White River Watershed Project.  Hults Environmental Education Center, part of our facilities, is used for environmental education programs with local elementary school groups.

We also offer several workshop courses that are available for professional improvement (HAZWOPER training, Lead and Asbestos Mitigation, Wetland Characterization, etc.). These courses are available to non-credit as well as currently enrolled students.

We also offer field studies courses that visit such locations as Costa Rica, Eastern Europe, Florida, and others.
