Many students on the American Southwest Field Study have gained an appreciation for natural resource management in arid climates and the need for water conservation.  Students have explored some of the premiere national parks that the United States has to offer.  Groups have an opportunity to learn about wilderness survival through hikes into remote canyons as well as information about nature centers and interpretive programs.  These visits help students to learn more about visitor management on public lands in the West.
