Ball State University Australia Centre Fall 2009
Dr. Pichtel will be leading Ball State University's Australia Centre Program for Fall 2009. Situated along the stunning central Pacific coast, the Fall 2009 Ball State Australia Centre is a fabulous opportunity to gain course credit and immerse in an exciting culture! Australia is a diverse, exciting country and an ideal location for immersion in the humanities, sciences, arts, sports/recreation, and many other disciplines.

Courses are taught both by Dr. Pichtel and faculty from Southern Cross University. At this point the courses we offer will include:

1. Australian Life & Culture (Anth 111)

2. Wildlife Biology (Bio 420a)

3. Marine Biology (Bio 420)

4. Sports Administration

5. Events Planning

6. Environmental Issues in Australia and the South Pacific (NREM 299x)

7. WMD and Terrorism Awareness (NREM 389)

8. Arranged classes

9. Extended Ed courses

Advantages of the Australia Centre Program

The Fall 2009 Australia Centre Program will benefit students in terms of first-hand learning, employability, and personal growth.

Students live in 4- or 6-person bungalows on a beachfront sports complex located in Lennox Head. 

 

Field trips, over and above those that will be integral to your coursework, will be part of your program. Where you will go and activities you will participate in will be at the discretion of your on-site director.
