Scholarships were awarded to NREM students for next academic year during the 2008 NREM Awards Reception on April 18 at the Alumni Center.  Recipients included:

Carissa Buchholz – Alex and Anna I. Nicoloff Scholarship; and the CITES Scholarship (from the Central Indiana Technical and Environmental Societies).  Carissa also received the Cooper Science Award at a reception held in March and was recognized as the recipient of a Morris K. Udall Scholarship, a nationally-competitive award.

Courtney Hall – Clyde W. Hibbs Memorial Scholarship

Ray McKibben - Alex and Anna I. Nicoloff Scholarship

Katrina McKinley – Charles O. Mortensen Fellowship

Isabel Meza - Clyde W. Hibbs Memorial Scholarship

Awards were presented to four students and one community member:

Carissa Buchholz – Outstanding Service

Lisa Nicklas – Outstanding Senior

Dianna Fiallos – Outstanding Graduate Student

Ryan Nehl – Outstanding Graduate Thesis

Donald Van Meter – Outstanding Community Service

Additionally, Lisa Nicklas was recognized for two awards she was about to receive during Spring Commencement: Academic Honors in Writing and Departmental Honors – both "firsts" for any NREM student.
