BIOLOGY INTERN
BIOLOGY INTERN NEEDED

Year round Biological interns needed at J. N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge located on Sanibel Island, Florida.  Sanibel Island is located near Fort Myers, FL on the Southwest coast of Florida. 

Duties include: assisting with wildlife surveys of marsh and wading birds, colonial bird nesting, migratory landbirds, mangrove cuckoo, secretive marsh bird, and snowy plovers.  Intern will also assist with impoundment sampling, fisheries sampling, data entry and summary, and GPS/GIS work.  Skills and/or experience preferred: bird identification, previous field experience, and ability to work in hot humid conditions with biting insects.  Need to have a wildlife related degree or in the process of receiving a degree in related field.
