Six Ball State staff members have been nominated for the A. Jane Morton Award for excellence in staff performance:
- Susan Bourne, administrative coordinator for the Department of Mathematical Sciences, 22 years of service
- Rhonda Clark, first sergeant for the Department of Public Safety, 17 years of service
- Charles Scofield, facilities assignment coordinator for Student Center Operations, 19 years of service
- Dan Taylor, periodical/reserves assistant for Universities Libraries, 37 years of service
- Carol Terry, executive secretary for the Ball State University Foundation, 12 years of service
- Sharon Woodruff, commencement coordinator for the Office of Registration and Academic Progress, 38 years of service.
To qualify, the full-time staff member must be employed at the university for at least five years and continually demonstrate service to all parts of the university.
The winner will be announced at the Staff Recognition and Retirement dinner on April 17. The recipient will receive a framed and engraved "Between the Buildings…is the Life" print, a monetary award of $1,000 and a book of nomination with support letters.
The award is a memorial to A. Jane Morton, a former staff employee in the Office of Academic Research and Sponsored Programs.
