MUNCIE, Ind. - A pioneer in the development of newspaper Web sites will discuss the challenges the industry faces Feb. 19 at Ball State University.
Rob Curley, general manager of the Lawrence Journal Online, the electronic version of the Lawrence (Kan.) Journal-World, will present "Let's Quit Building Crappy Newspaper Web sites" as part of university's Department of Journalism's Professional-in-Residence series.
The presentation, free and open to the public, will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Art and Journalism Building, room 175.
In 2001, the Newspaper Association of America named the 30-year-old Curley the newspaper industry's "Internet Pioneer of the Year," making him the youngest person to win the award.
