MUNCIE, Ind. -
Nearly 100 business technology leaders from around the state met Monday for a half-day
conference titled "Ball State University: Your Information Technology Partner"
at Ball State’s Alumni Center.
Ball State will use the findings from the meeting to develop a specific plan to address the technology workforce needs identified by conference participants. The plan will be unveiled at a meeting at 4 p.m. May 3 at the Omni Indianapolis North Hotel in Indianapolis.
This technology conference was, in part, a response to last November’s Workforce Summit at the Indiana Convention Center, "Wired. Inspired. Hired." The summit’s final report indicated that the technology businesses and universities need to forge a stronger partnership to address the state-wide shortage of technology workers.
