With parents scrambling to find sitters or day care for children during the holiday season, the Office of Recreation Programs has an alternative.

Cardinal Kids Holiday Camp, based on the highly successful summer camp, gives campers two weeks of fun activities in Ball Gymnasium for a partial cost of a scheduled day care facility.

Campers will be active in games, arts and crafts, swimming, field trips and other activities. Traditionally, the Cardinal Kids Camps have offered non-competitive recreation in a safe environment.

Staff counselors are Ball State students (many are education majors) using these experiences to prepare for future teaching.

Registration begins on Oct. 18. Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Full and half-day options are available. Hot lunch options are also available.

Prices range from $50 a session for half days to $75 a session for full day. Options for late extended hours as well as discounts for siblings are available.

Session 1 is Dec 20-23. (No camp on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24.) Session 2 is Dec 27-31 (Open New Years Eve.)
