The Office of Information Technology will award Instructional Development Grants to regular and contract faculty.

The grant program improves student learning by helping faculty develop and utilize technology-based instructional materials and activities.

Information Technology project teams will partner with selected faculty to define, develop, implement and assess technology-based materials for the classroom.

Upon project completion, material implementation and instructional signifgicance assessment, a stipend will be paid directly to the faculty member.

The grants are expected to increase faculty awareness, confidence and technical knowledge, as well as establish and expand working relationships between faculty and Information Technology personnel.

A program objective is to produce useful classroom materials that incorporate technology to enhance the learning environment.

Submissions deadline is 5 p.m. Sept. 24. Proposal and transmittal forms can be obtained at the grant Website (www.teleplex.bsu.edu/dev/idg99). Final decisions will be made on or before Oct. 4.
