The camp's "Adolescents in Action" coordinated the fourth annual food drive. Items were donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank in Anderson. The organization provides assistance to families in need throughout East Central Indiana.
Campers in grades 6-8 conducted the drive. Students made signs, contacted university departments and handled collection of the food.
"It is always exciting to see children working together to help others," said Jill Moffitt, camp coordinator. "The event was a success and the children should be proud of what they were able to accomplish."
Ball State's Recreation Services staff runs Cardinal Kids Camp, which hosts about 170 students in grades K-12 each week during the summer.
