The honors recognize faculty members and trainers who are committed to client satisfaction, excelling in the development and delivery of training, and developing long-term and loyal partnerships with organizations throughout the state of Indiana.
Avila is Ball State's George and Frances Ball Distinguished Professor of Marketing. Delaina Boyd, director of COR, cited Avila's energy and enthusiasm in providing training that enhances participants' performance and makes a positive and lasting impact on the organizations he serves.
He specializes in the delivery of sales and customer service training for health care and financial institutions.
Ripley, a professional trainer from Greenwood, was credited with establishing long-term relationships with clients and accepting a wide array of training assignments.
"Showing his diverse training background, Mitch taught computer training for displaced workers, delivered supervisory training to health care workers and conducted management development programs for several Indiana manufacturing companies during the past year," Boyd said.
The Center for Organizational Resources develops and manages training and consulting projects for businesses and organizations, plus workforce development programs. COR is part of Ball State's School of Extended Education.
