About 20.8 million Americans have diabetes, mostly type 2. Research shows, however, that type 2 diabetes can be prevented, delayed or managed.

Ball State University's Employee QuickClinic and Working Well will offer a diabetes fair from 7-10 a.m. Feb. 28 at the QuickClinic. Individual screenings should take about half an hour. The fair is only for employees and spouses with diabetes. Registration is required.

The fair will offer up-to-date information and screening for blood pressure, HDL and LDL cholesterol, microalbumin, triglycerides and hemoglobin A1c.
