Heart Month at Ball State includes four programs (2/8/2008)
Ball State is offering three days of programs for Hearth Month to encourage cardiovascular health.

Between 6 and 9 a.m. on Feb. 13, the Clinical Exercise Physiology Program will offer blood pressure and cholesterol screening in the Human Performance Laboratory. Testing costs $20, and results will be available in three business days.

A meditation class will be offered Feb. 13-27 in the upper level of the Museum of Art. Classes will begin at 4:45 p.m. and last an hour. The cost is $25 for Ball State employees and students and museum members and $40 for others. Call 765-285-1753 to register.

From noon to 1 p.m. on Feb. 14, Dr. Lora Jones-McClure will give free a presentation in Bracken Library, room 225, about cholesterol and making the most of lifestyle choices and medications. To register, call 765-285-9355.

From noon to 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 15, in the Applied Technology Building, room 203, the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences will show how to select healthy foods.

The Feb. 13 and 14 programs are open to Ball State employees, their spouses, retirees and students. The Feb. 15 program is for employees, spouses and retirees only.
