Stefan S. Anderson, president and chief financial officer of First Merchants Corp., has been appointed the Nasdaq Executive Consultant to the Bureau of Business Research in the Ball State College of Business.

He was selected as a consultant to recognize his contributions to the Ball State Business Forecasting Roundtable and its service to local business. The roundtable meets on a quarterly basis to review and forecast local economic trends.

Anderson has long been associated with Ball State, recently endowing a scholarship in his father?s memory. He was honored with an honorary doctorate in 1993 and received a Benny Award in 1986.
