Rodney Davis, business information technology professor, has been named associate dean for instruction and operations. Ray Montagno, management professor, will be the associate dean for research and outreach. The promotions are effective July 1.
Davis served as the interim associate dean of the College of Business from 2001-2002. He received a doctorate from Arizona State University in 1974 and joined Ball State the same year.
Davis teaches methods courses, business communication, and principles of marketing. He is active in several professional organizations including Delta Pi Epsilon, the Association for Career and Technical Education, and the Marketing Education Association.
Montagno, who joined Ball State in 1980, teaches courses in general management, human resources and international management. He was named the College of Business Professor of the Year 1990.
Montagno, who received his doctorate from Purdue University, has written two books and published numerous articles on human resources, competitiveness and international issues.
