
MUNCIE, Ind. - Philip C. Repp has been appointed associate vice president for information technology at Ball State University.
Repp had served as interim associate director of information technology since 2000.

In his new position, Repp will assist in the planning and development of technology initiatives throughout the university. He reports to H. O'Neal Smitherman, vice president for information technology and executive assistant to the president.
Repp, who joined the university in 1981 as an art professor, has served in various administrative positives, including director of the Visualization, Imaging and Animation Lab, 2000-2002; associate dean of the College of Fine Arts, 1994-2000; and chair of the art department, 1986-89.
He received a bachelor's degree in history and a visual art minor from Bowling Green State University and a master's degree in interior design from Michigan State University.
