Ball State's Institute for Digital Intermedia Arts and Animation (IDIAA) and its Center for Media Design will showcase innovative, student-created art forms during a May 3 open house.
By Layne Cameron, Media Relations ManagerThe IDIAA 2007 Showcase, presenting students' video, music, research, animation, installation and interactive works, takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mitchell Place Studios, 301 S. Walnut. Additional video screenings and live audio performances can be viewed at Doc's Club, 215 S. Walnut.
Highlights of the exhibition include an encore performance of "The Terri Dreams," a production that fuses five prerecorded dream segments and a real-time performance to create a continuous film; an animated music video created for the band Ki:Theory; and 3-D video and animation.
The event will coincide with downtown Muncie's First Thursday art walk, a monthly event when galleries celebrate art in Muncie.
