Lend a Hand Day is an opportunity for local residents, students, faculty and staff to donate clothing, nonperishable food, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items, baby products, school supplies and used books to help others.

"Participating in Lend a Hand Day is a great opportunity to help Muncie families in need and the members of the community who are referred by local nonprofit agencies," said Johnny Karch, the organization's student committee chairman. "Lend a Hand Day provides hope for families and children throughout Muncie."

Items may be dropped off in marked barrels located in academic buildings and residence halls throughout campus as well as the Office of Student Life, located in the Pittenger Student Center, room 118.

Donations will be distributed from 9 a.m. to noon March 31 at the Muncie YWCA.
