MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State University's Department of
Family and Consumer Sciences is recruiting women to participate in a
weight loss study.
Participants meet be premenopausal women between the
ages of 25 and 50 in generally good health and at least 20 pounds
overweight. The study will require participants to meet once a week for
eight weeks with a registered dietitian at Ball State.
Those participating will receive a complete nutritional analysis, blood lipid profile (total cholesterol, HDL and LDL cholesterol and triglycerides), body composition assessment, and bone mineral density assessment via Dual Energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA).
