For the third consecutive year, the publication has ranked the School of Nursing's online degree master's program among the nation's top 10; this year, the program is ranked seventh.
Linda Siktberg, director of Ball State's School of Nursing, said the consecutive rankings are reflective of the program's consistent ability to offer effective courses that are responsive to the needs of the health care profession. The ranking also is reflective of the program's continuing efforts to recruit highly talented students, she said.
"The online master's program was started in 1999 and is filling the critical shortage of nurses worldwide," she said. "The online nursing degree program is one of many high-quality offerings that provide our students with the cutting-edge skills necessary to excel in the health care profession. It also serves as another example of how Ball State continues to be a leader in blending technology and higher education."
