Ball State will host Math Day from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Oct. 19 in the Alumni Center.
Math Day is geared toward middle school girls, grades six through eight, from area schools. The purpose is to provide girls contact with role models and opportunities for them to become aware of what women can do in the fields of math, science and technology.
Presentations will be made by several women with backgrounds in math, technology and career placement. Presenters include: Kay Roebuck, Department of Mathematical Sciences; Maria Williams-Hawkins, Department of Telecommunications; and Sheila Spisak, Career Center.
