"Our Living History: A Celebration of Our Constitution," was produced in 2005 in partnership with Ball State's Teleplex for the inaugural Constitution Day celebration. J-Ideas has distributed about 10,000 DVDs to schools and teachers nationwide as part of its mission to foster First Amendment awareness.
"We continue to get requests daily from all over the country for the DVD," says Warren Watson, J-Ideas director who served as the DVD's narrator. "The DVD contains important and useful information and is valuable to any high school or junior high teacher."
Started 27 years ago, the Telly Awards annually showcase the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television and cable stations and corporate video departments around the world.
Earlier this year, Ball State's Electronic Field Trip received six Telly Awards, including a silver, which is the highest honor given in the annual competition.
The Constitution Day DVD includes a round table discussion with Constitution experts, discussion questions, interviews about the First Amendment and other features. Dottie Kreps, a Teleplex producer/director, led the production effort on the project.
