Jatinder Gupta, a management professor at Ball State, was invited to participate and deliver a lecture in a science and technology distinguished lecture series. The event was organized by the Superior Technological School of Engineers at Gijon with the collaboration of La Nueva Espana, and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The distinguished lecture series featured international experts in different scientific, technological and managerial fields.

Gupta discussed his views on e-commerce, collaborative logistics and business, and the impact of globalization on underdeveloped and developing countries.

Gupta has a doctorate in industrial engineering. He has written various books regarding operations management and information systems and has published hundreds of articles in scientific journals. He has participated in conferences in Europe, Asia, Australia, Europe, South America, Latin America and the United States.
